Pier v2

Todd put up the end sections of the pier today. The end is now an 8' x 15' platform! This weekend the boys are putting the lifts in & probably the small section that goes in front of the big boat. More to come!

Moonlit Night

I was chit chatting with my seamstress at her house, & when I left, she pointed out the full moon. I wasn't thrilled with my pix from earlier in the evening, so I went out for a couple more - here you go!

Boating Begins

...for someone else...two kayakers & two boaters (not pictured) out on the lake today. It's a bit chilly for me yet! Piers are going in too!

Godly Gifts

I return to Hawaii. The square structures near our hotel in Kona are called Heiaus - ancient religious structures. Occasionally, people will leave gifts for the gods. Here's a sample of those gifts with the Heiau in the background.

Back to Hawaii. I believe this is a breadfruit. I spotted it on the way back to the car after checking out the lava that went over the road (volc  nat'l park).

Pushy Ice

This ice refuses to go away! It's now pushing on shore, as if it wants to be part of the summer BBQ. No. Ice - release yourself, go away, you'll be back soon enough!

To Johnson Creek Outlets I went! Came with with four bags of clothes for Me, Me, Me. Happy day!

More Pretty

And the sequel to my prior post, we now have moving water...and a big chunk of ice. It's just a matter of time until it's all open water.

Daylight Saved Me

Daylight savings time...you lose an hour but you gain the light. I like the light. In winter, I can't wait till Dec. 20th-ish so that it starts to get lighter outside, rather than darker. Now it's lighter. Welcome daylight savings.

New Friend

Gracie let me use one of her many sewing machines, and it's an awesome upgrade for me! Just got it figured out so that I can start on my very fun Hawaiian quilt!

Volcanic Flowers

One of the mysteries of the volcanic-aftermath is how the plants and flowers begin their regrowth. This is a flower in Volcanoes National Park.

One morning at our hotel in Kona, I went to take pix of the flowers and foliage around our hotel. I liked this leaf!

Dashing Dolphins

While on our fishing excursion, we had the pleasure of being joined by a pod of dolphins.  Man, do they swim fast!
