I Wakeboarded!

Granted, I didn't take these pictures, so it may not technically count toward the 365, but I WAKEBOARDED! I got up on the board - multiple times! I'm quite pleased with myself, can't you see!.

Full Veil

I do like my previous picture of the bridal veil bush, however, I thought I should share a fuller view.

Orange Lines

Bridal Veil

We have this bush behind our house that neither of us really love, but we don't take it out...then we trim it back every now and then. This year it was growing all goofy, yet neither of us got around to trimming it, & boy am I thankful! It turns out, this unloved bush is a Spirea, aka Bridal Veil (or so I'm telling myself). It looks amazing this year! I guess it pays to let nature take its course!

Rain Drops

It's been a hot & humid few days, & the rain broke through today. Between downpours, I snapped these drops resting on a hosta leaf.

My Irises

My Japanese Irises are blooming now - gorgeous!

249 Days

First swim - May 24, 2010...last recorded swim - Sept 17, 2009, a whopping 249 days. Or, if you prefer simpler thoughts - 8 months, 1 week. 8 months is too long to wait for a good lake dip. Only thing missing? A noodle. If I'd had one of those, you'd have to threaten to ground me to get me to come out of the water!

Gracie's Iris

We spent the day at Grace's, helping her prep her landscape for mulch. Before we started, I snapped some pix!

Pink Pincushion

My pink dianthus is starting to bloom today!

Missing Quilt

My Hawaii quilt (yes, it's just mine!) is at the quilt shop awaiting its appointment with the long-arm machine. I'm excited but nervous to see how it turns out!

Clematis Flowers

My clematis is starting to bloom & the stems and vines are really starting to grow & climb nicely!

Moved Hosta

I moved this hosta last fall (along with its twin), and they started to pull forth from the ground this past week.

Purple Bugles

My bugleweeds are blooming - kind of a unique flower. Spent plenty of time in the yard today, weeding, edging and anticipating a summer of color!

Maya's Purse

We gave Maya her purse today, along with a couple of books & a little pink wallet. She was in 7th Heaven!

Wild Hawaii

Strange layout, but it's gonna be fun as the border on my Hawaii! quilt.

He's Fishing

Todd only managed to get us some leafy salad greens, no fishies!

Hawaiian Fabric

The fabric for the back of my Hawaii quilt has arrived! LOVE it!

Dam Beaver

There's a beaver dam on the Oconomowoc River, south of our house & downstream from the lake. It's an impressive work of nature!

Shooting Stars

My shooting stars are blooming. This native WI plant blooms in spring & the foliage dies off.

Everyone's Home

All boats are launched, the pier reconfiguration is complete, the bench & stairs into the water are setup. Time for summer fun! (Note: the steps are to the right of the back of the bench.)

First Tow

We fetched the big boat today, and the Toyo did an alright job towing it home! I commanded the inaugural tow, and I did awesome!

Office Before

Maddening! Now, it's slightly "staged" to look worse than it is, but it was pretty annoying. I couldn't even shut the door because the sewing table was set at an angle in front of it!

Little Miss

I created a purse for Maya today. She's our little  neighbor girl who loves to play with mine, so I made her one to be her very own. Nice & bright for a little kid!

Quilt Show

A favorite from the show today (in Jackson). I doubt I'd ever attempt this, but I'm intrigued by the color choices as well as the pattern. Very nice!
