We've got a bird's nest in our trumpet vine. If I move the branches to get a better view, mama flies away. Earlier tonight, we saw the egg that's in there. Even mama seems like a baby to me!

Sewing Basket

I was in Plymouth this AM (after being at a party at the Osthoff Friday night), so I stopped at the Sewing Basket to make some purchases! I bought the 5 green-ish fat quarters on the right & the 3 rolled fabrics on the left. The rolls will go with the fabric Gracie bought me so that I could make Fisher a blankie.

Long Hiatus

Please excuse the long break in posts. Work Interuptus! I'd been putting in long hours in the distribution center at one of our plants. It's over now, and I'll focus on some pix again!

Tow of Shame

So Bill (on the jet ski) wanted to launch his pontoon boat (middle), but he knows the motor always needs a little help at the start of the season. The initial plan was for Brent (Bill's son, sitting on the middle pontoon) to take the jet ski to the launch to tow Bill & the pontoon home. When Brent got there, the tow rope got sucked up into the jet ski. There were now two crafts floating helpless in the water.

The Cudahy Cruiser to the rescue! Joel (first boat) just got his boat up & running today after nearly a season of non-use, and he was called in to tow both Bill's pontoon boat & jet ski back to the house. It's now all caught on digitial (until Bill destroys my camera!) for your enjoyment! Todd was sort of hoping Joel's boat would have some failure so that he could've used his fishing boat to tow 3 boats home!

Peonies Finally

I picked up a sprig of peony at a yard sale last year, and it produced 2 blooms this year! The peony plant that was here when we bought the house has yet to do the same. This pink pretty smells lovely!
